Your email address is a part of the signature, along with the phone number, which is on all contracts signed from your profile.
For this and a number of other reasons related to security and document history, you cannot change the email address that is associated with your Contractbook account.
In order to use Contractbook with a new email address, you will have to create a new profile with the email address you want to use going forward.
What do I do with the signed contracts on my old profile?
In regards to the signed contracts or any other documents you need that are stored on your old profile, you have the following options:
If you do not need regular access to your already existing contracts, you can choose to keep them stored on your old profile. This is the easiest workaround.
However, it can lead to problems accessing your contracts if you forget your password or no longer have access to the old email address.
Download all your signed contracts from the old profile and upload them to the new profile. This is the best option if you need regular access to your old contracts.
You can allow the Full access type of permission in order to make the new account the full owner of the documents.
Create a shared folder on your new Contractbook account and invite the old profile to it. Then add your signed contracts to the shared folder.
As the team owner, your new account will have access to all Contractbook documents created on the old profile. This is the least time-consuming option, however, it does require you to be on Foundation plan to create a team.
How can I move all templates from my old to the new profile?
If you have templates on your old account that you would like to keep using, you can easily send them to the new profile. Alternatively, you can add them to a Shared Space and share it with the new account.
