There are several different customized options we have created for you to send and sign your contracts on Contractbook.
The first setting related to the signature process of your contracts is located at the top of your contract draft.
Are you signing the contract with others (Me and others), are you just signing it yourself (Only me), or are you creating a contract for other people to sign without your involvement (Only others)?
What is the signing order of my contract?
Unless you choose Only me signing option for the contract, you can choose between having a predefined by you as the creator of the contract signing order or letting everyone sign at the same time, once you send the finished contract.
Specific signing order
If "Should signees sign in a specific order?" is toggled on (colored in green), the signees (including yourself if you are one of them) will sign the contract exactly in the order in which they appear in the Signatures section. You can change the order by appointing a number to a Signee in the drop-down menu Signing order.
If there are multiple recipients, they will receive the contract one at a time only after the signee before them has already received and signed the document. For instance, the third recipient from the Signing order will not get the contract before the second recipient has signed it.
No signing order
If "Should signees sign in a specific order" is toggled off (colored in grey), all the Signees will receive their individual link to the contract at the exact same time. If you turn specific signing order off, you can choose to sign first by clicking Send and sign or sign later by clicking Send now and sign later.
What signature types can I use?
Before you proceed to the signing process, you can choose what type of signature you want to use.
We offer a simple digital signature, Sign with a click, for convenience, and several different types of advanced digital signatures:
You can read more about the validity of digital signatures here.
The default signature type for all documents is one of the advanced signatures - SMS Verification.

Multiple signature types

Remember that only you as the sender and creator of the contract can dictate the signature methods.
How do I choose multiple signature types for each signee?
You can also allow the recipients to choose between multiple signature types themselves after they receive the contract. Click on the green label "I want to choose multiple signature types for each signee" next to the section name Signature:
Now a small plus sign in green will appear to the right of the default signature type. Click on the icon to expand the pop-up window Manage signatures on the right-hand side of your screen.
In this window, you will be able to select as many signature types from the list as you wish to permit the signees to choose from.
Please, be aware that you cannot select multiple signature types for yourself as a Signee.
Can I select multiple signature types which are the same for all Signees?
Yes, you can select multiple signature types which are the same for all Signees.
To do that you need to click on the green label to the right of the Signature section title "I want to choose multiple signature types for each signee" and then select the same multiple signature types from the Manage signatures pop-up window, separately for each Signee.
Be aware that you cannot select multiple signature types for each Signee if you have clicked on "Use same signature type for all signees".
How to sign my contract?
Now you are ready to send the contract to all recipients and sign yourself if you are one of the Signees.
To get to the final step, you have chosen your signing method and signature types and can click on Send and sign.
Here is an example of how to use one of our most commonly chosen signature types Sign with a click. You will be invited to confirm the signature by "long-pressing" the green confirmation button.
In case you have chosen that Only others will be signing the contract, you will be able to click on a green button called Send for signatures.
And if you are the only one who will be signing, the button for the last step will be called Sign.
