What is a document version history?
In addition to seeing what changes have been made you can also see when the changes were made and by whom. We created this feature to enhance smooth collaboration and offer you a more transparent legal management workflow.
How does the document version history work in drafts?
When you open a contract draft, you can find the version history in the right-hand side navigation bar. It is represented by a grey clock icon. Just click on the clock icon to open the version history menu.
Every time you press save while working on your drafts, a new version is created in the version history. You can browse through the different versions to see how the draft has evolved during the creation progress.
The version history is structured chronologically and shows you when the changes were made and by whom.
Can I see the changes made to a Pending/Signed Contract?
If the Draft's Owner has allowed showing the Version History in the draft state of the contract, it will also be visible once a contract is turned into a contract by initiating the signature method.
The Document History cannot be allowed on a Pending/Signed contract. This can only be done while the document is still a draft.
