- The date is one of the types you can select for any of your data fields. After a data field is created from scratch, or with the use of default data fields, you can either set a value or leave the date's value blank

How can I format date data fields?
From the data field's properties, you will be able to select the specific type of date formatting you wish to use for your document.
There are several different options, depending on your document language, or completely custom ones based on other country standards.
- Select the option you need from the "formatting" optional field in the data field sidebar:
- If no other formatting option has been selected, the default dates formatting will be based on the document language.
Which default data fields with date type can I use in my documents?
Default data fields are static fields in the sidebar visible across all of the documents within your company (templates, drafts, contracts, uploads).
Main characteristics of default data fields:
- Cannot be deleted from the sidebar or renamed
- Create a cohesive data structure across all your company's documents
