Premade Contractbook and Slack integration via Zapier

What is a Contractbook integration with Slack?

We know that waiting for the deal to be sealed, could be a painstaking process. Contractbook’s integration with Slack ensures that you don’t have to waste time sitting and waiting. A message will be sent to you upon signature or any update on a contract, automatically keeping you and your team updated in Slack. This is only one of the many powerful automations which keep the data in-sync across your favorite tools.

What do I need to use the premade Zapier template?

Contractbook account
Zapier account (free)
Slack account (free)
The only action required is to click on Use this Zap

You can find the library of available premade Zapier integration templates under Profile settings by choosing Zapier:

How can I use the premade Zapier integration with Slack?

You can choose to get a Slack notification upon any update on your contracts, or specifically if a contract is signed:

Click on the orange button called Use this zap to initiate the integration process.

You will be redirected to Zapier's website where at the bottom a blue button called Try this template will be available. Click on it and you will be taken one step further:

Now click on Get started to connect Contractbook and Zapier together. In order to allow Zapier to access your Contractbook account, you need to generate an API key for Zapier on our platform and then paste it straight away to the available field in this step.

Once the API key is pasted, Zapier will automatically connect to your Contractbook account and you will be able to proceed with the setup of your integration in which you can select the event (on a contract level) which will trigger the Slack notification:

Once you have chosen the event which needs to occur on a contract level from the Contractbook side of the integration, Zapier will extract the needed data from Contractbook in order to complete the connection.

After the first step has been completed, you will be asked to establish the connection with your Slack account and select the precise channel in Slack, in which the notification will be posted:

In the next step, you will be able to customize the fields you want to edit in Slack:

Now it is time to test the results of the initial steps you have setup:

The message in Slack can be checked right away:

And if any further changes are needed, you can go back to Zapier's website and edit any of the defined already steps. Here you will also be notified if the integration has run successfully by the following message:

Finally, you have reached the last step in the Contractbook - Slack integration via Zapier which allows you to confirm by turning your new Zap on.
