How can I delete a party or signee field in my contract?

How to delete a party or signee field in my contract?

The signee and party fields work like all other features in Contractbook Editor, which means that you can remove them by using the Backspace or Delete button on your keyboard, depending on the position of your cursor:

  • If you place your cursor before the Party/Signee Field - then press the Delete button (or Backspace plus Fn buttons on Mac) on your Keyboard:

  • If you place your cursor after the Party/Signee Field - then hold the Backspace button on your Keyboard:

Can I send a contract with entirely removed party fields?

It is not acceptable to send a contract to your signees after the party section of your contract draft has been completely removed.

If you try to send the contract (or sign yourself), you will receive this error message: "Personal Details in edit mode are missing":

You need to have a party linking to each signature field from the last section of your document in order to send the contract for signatures successfully without any error messages.

To add back a fully removed party field, you can use the "Party Details" option from the Editor's formatting options menu.
