I cannot connect to Salesforce and my automation fails - what should I do?

How can I troubleshoot issues connecting to my Salesforce account in the Automation Builder?

If you are receiving any of these error messages when you try to publish an automated workflow that requires integration between Contractbook and Salesforce, you can follow the steps of troubleshooting below:

  1. Check if your organization in Salesforce has the creation of Metadata objects enabled:
    More precisely, these are the three needed metadata objects to enable the Contractbook automation:
    RemoteSiteSettingWorkflowOutboundMessageWorkflowRule
    After you have made sure that all three Metadata objects are included in your Salesforce plan, proceed to the next step;
  2. Check if the specific Salesforce user who you are using in the Contractbook automation setup has the Profile which has Modify Metadata Through Metadata API Function checked:
