Once the OCR has finished scanning the documents you have uploaded, you will receive a new notification at the bottom left-hand side corner of the app if any dates are found:
If you click on the blue button called Review, you will be able to review suggestions for converting the available contract dates into Reminder tasks by automatically setting post-signature reminders:
If you want to proceed with the setup, click on Set reminders, and the detected dates will be followed by specific suggestions to set reminders. You can initiate the use of a suggested date by clicking on the blue button called Set:
The next step will be to choose which particular type of reminder you would like to set. Pick between Milestone, Obligation, Renewal, or Expiration:
After defining the type of reminder, a configuration window will automatically open on the left side of the screen, allowing you to customize the task's title, description, due date, alerts, assignees, and followers.
All the fields in this customization will be prefilled with the available information that is related to the identified dates found in the uploaded document:
Once all attributes of the task are defined as you want, you can complete the setup by clicking on Create a task.
All tasks you have created will be visible in the document's overview, allowing you to access any pending obligations easily from this general view:
You can always use the task management dashboard and sidebar to review all added to your contracts reminders and change any of their attributes, or even automate the entire process of adding reminder tasks to your legal documents by using Contractbook in-app automation builder.
In case you have not reacted to the first dates detection notification, there will be the following one visible at the top section of your documents' overview:
The automatic date extraction in uploaded contracts will save you time and minimize any manual work by allowing you to meet deadlines and stay on top of all obligations based on the data in your uploaded contracts.
