You do not have to worry about the recipients of your contract not taking any further action after receiving a contract sent by you.
Contractbook sends all recipients an automated email reminder about the expected signature after 2, 5, 10, 20, 45, and 60 days of the initially requested signature date.
The reminders will automatically stop when the contract is signed or 60 days after the initial signature request has passed.
Can I customize the reminders sent to the recipient?
- It is impossible to deactivate or customize the frequency of the reminders sent to a contract's recipient after a contract is sent for signature.
If you want to stop the reminders, there is a workaround. You can duplicate the contract, automatically creating a new draft identical to it.
Then locate the original contract under the Pending tab and delete it. - Finally, send the identical copy you just created to the recipient by initiating the signature process.
- For your convenience, we have also allowed you to easily monitor the status of all your sent contracts.
If only our side has signed the contract (it is in a "pending" status) and I delete it, can the other side still sign it?
- If only your side has signed the agreement and you delete the document before the remaining Signees sign, this action equals complete deletion or a contract withdrawal.
- The remaining signees will no longer have access to the contract; they will not be allowed to establish a signature or even review the document's contents. It will simply be inaccessible to them.
- This action can be completed while the contract is still pending and only your side has completed the signature process.
Will the reminder to sign be sent to the signee who is yet to sign or all the signees?
- All signature reminders will only be sent specifically to those signees who have not signed the contract yet.
- In pending contracts with multiple signees, anyone who has signed the contract will not get any of these reminders.
