How do I CC people on a contract outside of the signatory?

Can I add somebody who will not be a Signee on Copy in my contract?

Only the Signees you want to add to your contract will eventually receive a digital copy and access to it in Contractbook.

If you wish to add any other external Party to a Copy directly in the Draft, Pending or fully Signed contract, you need to use a separate Sharing feature upon or after sending the contract out to its Recipients.

How can I allow external Parties to access a contract I send out to others?

You can choose one of the following ways to add an external party to a contract, in case they are not already one of the Signees in the agreement:

  1. You can share the document while it is still in a Draft state with any external collaborator, by choosing one of the permissions described here.
  2. You can share the contract after it is already sent out for signatures (still Pending state but not fully Signed yet), or after it is fully signed, by following this guide.
  3. Or you can send a PDF copy of the contract to anyone, by downloading the document in any of its states. This option is not ideal, as it only provides your external collaborators with static access to the document, without any possibilities of reviewing, suggesting changes, or saving it as a new draft they can then work on.
