What's new in Contractbook
Introducing Assigned Data Fields ⭐️
Our latest release lets you assign data fields directly to individual collaborators. Assign fields in the draft, from the sidebar, or while sharing, and keep other fields safe from unwanted changes:
- Assigning data and metadata fields to internal and external collaborators enables document owners or accounts with full access rights to have control over the filling out of specific data fields by the document recipients.
- Having control over data fields' assignees ensures that those fields will be "locked" for external fillers and only manageable by the right collaborator.
- Assigning data and metadata fields is helpful when the counterparty should provide only specific contract data without explicit permission to edit everything in the document.
- This locks this specific contract data with which the owner does not want anyone else to interact.
New search abilities in the app
We have extended the types of document fields that can be used as search criteria.
You can search all your documents (drafts, contracts, templates) by:
- Party and signee details:
- Including email, reference, company or personal registration number, address, company representative, and title.
- Data and metadata fields:
- Metadata fields are always only internally visible to all members of the same company.
- Any other text from the document body and title.
- The document creator's name.
Updates
Reduced email notifications for comments and suggested changes
We have decreased the email notifications you and your teammates will receive as soon as there are new comments and suggested changes within your documents.
Multiple comments and changes will now be summarized in a single email notification, limiting the number of updates sent via email:
- Notifications for comments and suggestions will be grouped together.
- At most, one notification will be sent in five minutes duration.
- You and your teammates will be kept updated with the most important summary of changes without any extra "noise."
