When I try to create new line items, I cannot get the sub-points in lists - why?
If you choose one of the list items numbering options in the editor of your documents, and it includes any of the following options:
- 1. - 1.1. - 1.1.1. etc
- 1. - a. - (i, ii, iii)
- I. - I.I. - I.I.I.
- When you press Enter - the new line will count only the main points from each type of numbered list you have selected.
- To intend and reach the subsequent points (for example, from 1. point to 1.1 sub-point and then sub-point 1.1.1) - you need to click on the Tab keyboard command immediately after Enter.
- By doing that, you will first add the new main point and turn it into the next in the sequence sub-point.
- You can keep doing the same as many times as needed to achieve the final numbered list structure you need for your document:
Can I switch between using numbers and letters?
For example, if you want to combine - 1.1. - point - then sub-points (a) and (i, ii, iii) in the same list:
Unfortunately, these formatting options are not part of our editor yet. You can only choose one specific type of numbered list at a time.
Can I have the numbers in a numbered list in bold?
If you select the Heading text formatting option instead of Paragraph, you will have the numbers in your numbered lists formatted in bold:
