Contractbook OCR feature (Smart Reader) enables you to improve your data management process and organize your contracts with the ability to search for specific keywords, phrases, and sentences in your stored contracts.
Contractbook Smart Reader works in collaboration with our Enhanced Full-Text Search engine, allowing you to interpret, organize, and sort all your contracts based on a selected combination of data.
In addition, our Smart Reader can also scan any attachments you upload to your contracts and, as a result, extract data from them.
How does Contractbook OCR work?
- Contractbook OCR, or Smart Reader, implies that a contract will automatically be scanned once uploaded to your account.
- On average, our system takes only 30 seconds to process a document with this intelligent feature.
- When the Smart Reader is scanning the document, you can check the Document OCR status under the info tab (at the right-hand sidebar of the opened document), where it will be defined either as In Progress or Completed:
If it is being processed, a banner will be shown at the top, indicating the contract is being converted.
Once the OCR is completed, you can search for specific words, phrases, or entire sentences included in the body of the contract since the extracted text of the uploaded contract will be completely searchable:
